Expectations are difficult to manage sometimes.
As part of my trip to Western Newfoundland I had done a bunch of research on places with potential for good photography. Not really touristy stuff but not excluding them either. One of the places I researched was Arches Provincial Park which would for sure fall into the touristy category. But even a 30 second search of Google images would confirm it was a beautiful place and I was really excited to shoot there.
But sometimes the weather and light don’t always provide. After too much time trying to make a picture out of nothing, I decided to look further up the beach. Basically killing time waiting for the light to change. This is where I found the image above. I still got some good images of the arches themselves but this is the image I’ll use to remember the area.
The Arches Provincial Park is a great place that should be on everyones list of places to visit in Newfoundland!
