A New Perspective

Sometimes it’s as much about what you don’t know as what you do.  I recently had this experience on a trip to Lawrencetown Beach.

MacDonald House and Surf Shop from Conrad's Beach

The green hill in question. Macdonald House and Surf Shop from Conrad's Beach

I’ve visited Lawrencetown beach and Conrad’s beach (just the other side of a big green hill from each other) many, many times. Not before this day, however, did I realize that the two were actually connected by a path? How I didn’t know that I’ll never know. Where I thought the surfers were going when they disappeared into the bush I can’t say. Sufficed to say that, YES, there is a path between Conrad’s beach and Lawrencetown beach. Proof here.

Do you know how much better the view is from up on that path? Not just of surfing but everything! Amazing.

Anyway, the surfing image above is taken from that path. I still don’t have the proper gear (lens) to do this sort of thing right but I’m pretty happy with the outcome. And even more important is that I learned something new! When I get bored at Lawrencetown I can now WALK to Conrad’s! Sweet!
